Default my favorite pictures so far ...
Of course, I will have many more as time goes by!

Pic #1 - a beautiful view of the land near where I live, taken late afternoon as I'm walking back home from a day in El Batey

Pic #2 - sunset at Playa de Sosua after being catered to by a "beach concierge" arranged and paid for by a friend

Pic #3 - Lulu (my neighbor) usually has breakfast right outside my bedroom window. This is the closest I've ever been to a cow (except a prime piece of one hot off the grill waiting for horseradish!)

Pic #4 - Now, this one blew me away because I'd been in the DR less than a week and I saw a man selling dogs -- yes, dogs -- at Bailey's. One of the patrons even touched one of the puppies during his meal! Ewwwww ... If that had happened in my city, the health department would shut the place down faster than they could say "woof"!!!

Yes ... a beach concierge (Lobo) who makes sure I'm comfortable, and caters to my every wish.

His duties entail ... arranging for my mani/pedicure; keeping my glass full of whatever I'm drinking; when it's time for lunch, he serves it to me on a china plate and silverware (I don't care for the disposable stuff); spraying tanning oil on my body; accompanying me to the safest place to swim; ensuring that nobody approaches me so I can enjoy my solitude.

What ... you want his job, Escott???

update: after 8 months here, I've actually started to appreciate a styrofoam plate every now and then ... lol
