A small town we visited during our short vacation on the south coast. A creek coming down the mountains gets collected into a manmade pool for the locals to enjoy fresh water swimming before it flows into the Caribbean sea.
The pool is full of fish and watching kids trying to catch them by hand was funny. Over the years this place turned into a tourist attraction and it’s a very nice place to sit in the shade, have some lunch and just watch people playing. No Ducks to be seen anywhere |

What was even better then Los Patos was the drive there. The scenery is just unbelievable.
If any of you has ever been on the Cabot trail in Nova Scotia it’s just like that, just greener and the Caribbean sea in shades of blue I have never seen before |

The water in Los Patos is something like -10 degrees, super cold. It seems like it takes forever to get used to it, but once you do, there is nothing like it.
I'm not crazy about the stone beach(no sand), but who goes for the beach anyway. Now's the time to enjoy that area, there's a lot of interest in developing it.... |
